This was one of the few campsites we found open in November and we were so glad we did. Christian and Vic were so friendly and welcoming, introduced us to their goats and chickens. We stayed for 2 nights with our 3 dogs, the showers were hot and just what we needed after 2 days walking in the cold wet weather. Would highly recommend and hope to visit again!

Amazing friendly site, with just the most welcoming owners we have come across. The site is open and flat with far reaching views, barn owls to be seen at night along with great sunsets. The facilities are spotless with everything you need - hotwater, clean, space to dry yourself ( we all hate being cramped!) , great relaxation area, would have loved to have met the animals but a "quick getaway" means we'll just have to come back, thankyou Christian and Vicki.

Would highly recommend this lovely peaceful campsite .
Christian and Vicky are very welcoming.
The facilities were absolutely top notch and spotless.
The hard stand pitch’s are a great size and level .
We enjoyed a short walk down to a lovely pier not far from the site.
Site is located as a perfect stop while we were doing the NC500 but would also be a great base for a longer stay to explore the north coast and surrounding areas . Easy driving distance to John o groats .
If you love a smaller independent campsite this is for you .
The larger commercial sites were extremely expensive and crowded.
So pleased we found this site and wouldn’t hesitate to return.
Thanks for a lovely stay 😊

So glad, we decided to stop at Little Croft Highlands! Christian & Vicky have put a lot of love into their project which can be recognized by the lovely small details all over the place, making you rather feel at home than being on a campsite! After touring for 2,5 weeks through Scotland, this was for sure one of the best sites we've been to. A cosy private place with shower & toilet, small kitchen equipped with kettle & cups and a small "living room". Everything's brand new and neat!
You can watch the cute goats, buy fresh eggs from own hens and have a chat with Christian & Vicky, who gave us a very warm welcome!
We enjoyed our short stay a lot and strongly recommend, not to miss this place when you are in this area!
We keep our fingers crossed for this pleasant young couple, that many campers may turn up!

(Translated by Google) We spent two nights in this amazing place. One of the nicest campsites we have visited in Scotland!
The newly opened campsite is a little off the NC 500 but is still easy to get to. Located in an absolutely quiet area, Dunnet Bay can be reached in about 8 minutes by car. A small pier with an originally designed stone seating area is also a few minutes' walk away.
Overall a beautiful place, lovingly designed with two well-kept bathrooms (1 shower, 2 toilets), a small sink and a cozy common room.
Fresh eggs from our own chickens are usually also available.
We felt very welcome and comfortable with our dog. Many thanks to the super nice owners!
We wish you continued success!
A little tip: A collection point for the rubbish would still be helpful and maybe the existing fresh water connection could be moved a little closer to the campsite. ☺️

Absolut ruhig gelegen, erreicht man Dunnet Bay in ca. 8 Minuten Fahrtzeit.

We had an amazing stay at Little Croft. Christian and Vicks were wonderful and welcoming and we were so excited to be part of their first week of opening!
They really have gone above and beyond with the amenities too - there’s a kitchenette with a kettle and washing up facilities, clean toilets and a wonderful shower room, but the highlight was the social space with a comfy sofa and a radio, which was perfect for sitting down and having a cuppa.
The location is close enough to the sea for stunning views, but far enough back that the wind isn’t killer. We caught the most amazing sunset while we were there, and found some amazing nearby beaches. It was early on in our anti-clockwise NC500 route and the first day of truly beautiful sights.
Make sure you take some change so you can buy some fresh eggs from the chickens for breakfast!
All in all, the best campsite we stayed at throughout our 6 days of travel. Thank you, Christian and Vicks - you have created something truly special at Little Croft!

After spending 1 night at this quirky little campsite, we cannot recommend Little Croft Highlands campsite enough! Christian was so lovely and welcoming. They have all the facilities you need, and the little extras which make your stay! We stayed here whilst on the NC500 route, and would definitely return if back in the area.

(Translated by Google) A small beautiful campsite with super warm operators. The place is a place to stay, toilets and showers are extremely clean, a lounge is also available for evenings together or for campers with a tent. Unfortunately we couldn't say goodbye to Vicki and Christian,...... stay healthy and stay the way you are! "Only dead fish swim with the stream"😘 Cheers Michael and Jennifer

Beautiful campsite very close to the NC500 and the sea (with beautiful little beaches and a small natural harbour).
The area is very peaceful. There are cute chickens and goats and the hosts Christian and Vicky are extremely welcoming and friendly.
You should definetely visit this place if you can. In our opinion the best campsite in Scotland :) Thank you very much for having us!

We stopped at the Little Croft Highland Campsite for a single night as part of our campervan tour of the Highlands.
Christian and Vicky couldn’t have been more welcoming especially as we literally turned up unannounced on their doorstep!
The site was pristine (kudos to Christian and his lawn mowing skills) and the facilities were excellent with thoughtful touches such as a kettle and hair dryer in case you forgot your own 😊
All in all, a lovely place to stay and recharge before carrying on our journey, all the best to you both and we will definitely be back when we’re next in the are 🥳
